Are the optional parts of EoTN missions required for campaign completion for HoM?

First I move your question to its own thread.

Second, NONE of the quests are required for the HOM.*
The titles that you can get from the eye of the north expansion are:
Master of the North
ebon vanguard rank
asura rank
north rank
delidrimor rank

only one of those will 'require' you to do any of the quests, you can farm points for the ranks titles without ever doing any of the quests (I was able to get rank 5 in ebon during the wintersday festival doing one of the festival quest--you can max the ebon title that way, or doing some of the other festival quest during the year).

The only title that will require you to do the quests is master of the north as you get points for doing the missions as well as dungeons, vanquishing and cartography.
